Carl Gallups took his warnings about the gay marriage apocalypse to “The Joe Miller Show” last week, telling the Alaska Republican politician and radio host that the world is being overwhelmed by a “Sodom and Gomorrah spirit” from the U.S., just as Jesus prophesied about “the Last Days.”

“We are now seeing with America, the largest, most powerful, the most prestigious nation that the planet has ever seen, founded upon the word of God itself, the supporter of Israel until this last administration, that nation, the United States, just declared that we are the Sodom and Gomorrah of the world and we are going to export it to the world,” Gallups said. “Jesus said that that would happen.”

He added that gay rights advocates “are going to aim this at the children” through Common Core academic standards in “government schools.”

“Under Common Core,” he explained, “our smallest children in pre-school, kindergarten, etc.” will learn about “the mechanics of homosexual sex because it has now been deemed normal and natural.”

For Certain Christians, Lying for Jesus is Justified in the Abortion Wars

Leviticus 19:11 makes clear: "Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another."There's quite a bit of the Bible that conservative Christian activists tend to leave out, but Biblical prohibitions against lying are routinely given short shrift by those intent on seeing God's will done on Earth. We don't have to look far for examples of it -- from Christians arguing that LGBT people are predators to politicians pretending that being gay is a choice, these lies are common. The Washington Post has a good look at another popular outlet for faith-based lying: the abortion debate, and the notoriously deceptive idea of "crisis pregnancy centers." Reporter Petula Dvorak examines the work of one Virginia activist, Pat Lohman, in particular.shutterstock_296153609
